What are the Tin Box Letters?

Tin Box Letters is a unique narrative experience. It’s a year-long subscription to a
story told through 24 letters. You will receive two letters per month. Each envelope is
a chapter in a story, filled with letters and diary entries from the characters,
newspaper articles, postcards and much more.

The current story available is "Finch and Hawk." More stories are coming soon.

Is the story true?

“Finch and Hawk” story is rooted in history; however, it’s a work of fiction. All characters are made up and any resemblance to the actual persons is coincidental.  

Even though the main events are based on actual historical events, the story was created for entertainment purposes and is a work of fiction. We love history, and have done extensive research; however, we don’t claim to be historians. We enjoyed creating this historical fiction story for you, and we hope you’ll love reading it.

Do you need the Internet to enjoy the Tin Box Letters?

Once you subscribe you don’t need the Internet to enjoy the Tin Box Letters. We do have bonus historical materials available online in the Story Companion sections. However, these materials are not necessary to fully enjoy the story.

When will my letter arrive?

Our letters are mailed on the 2nd and the 4th Friday of every month via USPS. Please allow for up to 2 weeks from the mailing date for the letters to arrive. Every subscription begins with the first letter, it doesn’t matter when you subscribed. 

If you subscribed 5 days before the mailing day, your first letter will be mailed on that day. If less, then your first letter will be mailed on the next mailing date.

How do I buy the story as a gift for someone?

The Tin Box Letters makes a great gift. When you complete the purchase, make sure to
enter the recipient’s name and shipping address at checkout. Then, you can download
the Gift Note, and either email it to the recipient or
print it out and present it.

Is this experience family-friendly?

Yes! Our story is family-friendly. In fact, reading and exploring all the bonus materials
is a great bonding time for the entire family.
