What's Inside an Envelope?
Finch and Hawk: The Klondike Letters is historical fiction told in an unusual way: through 24 physical envelopes mailed to readers over time. Each envelope works like a chapter and contains letters, diary pages, newspaper clippings, advertisements, and other period-inspired artifacts, creating a tactile story experience readers can unfold piece by piece.
The Story
In 1897, the Klondike Gold Rush draws dreamers, schemers, and fortune-seekers north. Among them are Elizabeth “Liz” Byrd, a determined journalist writing under the pen name Paula Finch, and Tom Hawk, a restless engineer from Chicago chasing a new life in the Yukon. As Liz fights to be taken seriously in a world of male correspondents and Tom struggles through the brutal realities of the trail, their paths lead through steamships, frozen rivers, boomtown rumors, hungry winters, and the dangerous promise of gold. Around them, the North is changing by the day, filled with real historical figures, desperate choices, and secrets buried beneath the snow.

The letters are sweet. Materials fun. I wish the first shipment came with a tin box full of Seattle chocolate, as if she was sending a treat from her departure. Then the letters could get stored in the box.
I bought this for my Mom.... she absolutely loves that there are little snip its of mysteries to solve, and the information that comes with the letters to set the scene are amazing.

My mother in law is loving these. We got them as a Christmas gift and we hit the nail on the head. It's perfect!
I was excited to buy two subscriptions for very unique Christmas gifts. The CS I received during the order process was great! Unfortunately, only one of the recipients received the first letter on time, but the second one hasn't received it considerably after the outside expected delivery date. Once again, however, the "team" has been very pleasant about trying to rectify the problem. When all gets back on track, it will hopefully become a 5-star rating.
Addendum: I am happy to change my rating to 5 Stars! The TBL CS "team" took immediate action when I advised them of the delivery problem for one of my orders. Both the first and second letters of the series were delivered on the same day and my family is now enjoying the TBL journey!!

Finch and Hawk Letters is a fun and educational adventure about the Gold Rush. The letters and cards look real and are full of great details. The story is exciting, and the puzzles are creative and enjoyable. A great way to learn history while having fun! Can’t wait for the next letter !

I am waiting for my 3rd letter! I have so enjoyed these letters since I enjoy American history. I like to learn about different states and time periods. What is going to be so fun is that I am going back on a Alaskan cruise this September....when I am in Skayway...Dyea is just a few mile away! I am excited to hear what the next storyline will be? Hopefully soon!
I got the first envelope of Tin Box Letters’ Klondike Letters, and wow, it’s so cool! It’s about a journalist going to the Klondike in 1897, writing about the trip. The story is fun and easy to read. The paper looks old, like it’s from that time, and some words are faded, which I love—it feels so real! There are postcards, too, with pictures and notes that look like they’re from the Klondike. They make the story more exciting, like I’m there. I’m so happy with it and can’t wait for the next one. If you like history or stories, you’ll like this!
I received the first of the Klondike letters, and it was great! We read it together with my wife, and both she and I enjoyed the story and were impressed by the presentation. All details seem to be historically correct, and all documents look almost authentic. We are already waiting for the next one.
